Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to provide exceptional care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, aging needs, or health challenges. In this role, you will assist residents with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure a safe and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare or caregiving, with a passion for improving the quality of life for those in need. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
- Monitor and document residents’ health status, vital signs, and behavioral changes
- Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations
- Support residents during meal preparation and feeding, ensuring nutritional needs are met
- Provide patient observation to identify any safety concerns or health issues
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties
- Support residents in community outings, social activities, and recreational programs
- Follow all safety protocols including CPR and First Aid procedures to ensure resident safety
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and team members to deliver comprehensive care
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living, home & community care, or long-term care settings
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and hospice care practices
- Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder
- Strong patient observation skills and ability to monitor vital signs effectively
- Experience with medication administration and care planning
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards
- Compassionate caregiving approach with excellent communication skills
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Experience working in nursing homes or senior care environments is a plus

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
