Production Gluing Machine Operator

POSITION SUMMARY:

ABOX Packaging is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Gluing Machine Operator. The operator will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, monitoring, and operating a folding machine that folds and glues printed materials according to specifications. This role involves continuously checking for accuracy and quality, monitoring the machine's performance, and resolving any issues that arise. The operator will work as part of a team and will guide crew members to ensure optimal output.

Responsibilities:

· Monitor and control machine performance and settings to ensure make-ready and production processes are completed within the specified timeframe

· Proficiently operate glue line machinery at standard speeds and seek opportunities to improve efficiency

· Program machine consoles with make-ready, production, and waste data

·Troubleshoot machine issues and communicate necessary information to management

·Calibrate machinery as required

·Demonstrate strong proficiency in using measurement tools

·Read manuals and handbooks effectively to collaborate with technicians when necessary

·Perform mathematical calculations accurately

Qualifications:

· Works in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates teamwork spirit

· 1 to 3 years of related experience

· Printing/packaging industry experience is desirable

· Mechanical knowledge

· Troubleshooting mindset

· Attention to detail

· High school or GED perfered

· People-oriented
