Duties
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, and watering to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal.
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, power tools, irrigation systems, and hardscape tools safely and efficiently.
- Identify different plant species and perform plant care activities like fertilizing, mulching, and pest management following safety protocols.
- Support tree care activities including planting, pruning, and removal while adhering to safety standards.
- Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or malfunctions and making necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Help install hardscape features such as pathways, patios, or retaining walls as part of landscaping projects.
- Follow all safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot landscaping equipment and power tools effectively.
- Experience with landscape maintenance practices including lawn care, gardening, and groundskeeping.
- Strong understanding of horticulture principles such as plant identification and proper care techniques.
- Knowledge of pesticide management for safe application when necessary.
