Position Title: Social Content Specialist
Location: Greater Chicago Metro Area or Greater New York Metro Area
Duration: 12-month contract
Employment Type: Contract role on W-2 through Above and Beyond Talent Acquisition, Inc. (A&B Talent)
Work Arrangement: Remote - Onsite about once a quarter for business-critical meetings, and must be based in one of these locations.
Payrate: $30.00 - $35.00

Who we are looking for / Requirements:
Our client is seeking a highly creative and trend-savvy Social Content Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who lives and breathes social media, has a sharp eye for design and video editing, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- 2 years of experience in social media content creation
- Experience in community management is a plus
- Strong graphic design and video editing skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, etc.)
- Please be prepared to provide a portfolio showcasing your best design work or standout social content that demonstrates your creative impact
- Deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices
- Experience with social media management tools (Sprinklr preferred)
- Excellent copywriting and communication skills
Performance Objectives / What you'll be doing:
Content creation (90%)
Develop thumb-stopping content that resonates with diverse audiences across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other platforms
Design static graphics and edit short-form videos following brand guidelines and current trends
Collaborate with internal teams and agency partners to ensure alignment with brand strategy and campaign goals
Monitor social trends, platform updates, and emerging formats to inform and adapt content strategy
Contribute to the development of social toolkits, templates, and creative briefs
Community Management (10%)
Working Conditions:
- Must have reliable internet access
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support content needs or community escalations
- Travel of up to 25% may be required for content capture, team collaboration, or event coverage
