Above All Outdoor Advertising, Inc. (AAO) has been a trusted leader in the billboard and out-of-home advertising industry for over 18 years. We build and service billboard and sign structures across Wisconsin and neighboring states. Our crews work at heights up to 200 feet installing digital faces, performing structural repairs, and constructing new billboards and signs from the ground up.

This is not a typical construction job. This is skilled, high-elevation work that requires focus, grit, and personal responsibility.

JOB SUMMARY:
We are growing and looking for dependable, hard-working Billboard Construction Laborers who want a long-term career — not just a paycheck. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on dynamic projects, ensuring the integrity and safety of billboard installations while gaining valuable experience in the outdoor construction industry.

Duties -

• Assist in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of billboard structures at elevated heights using appropriate tools and safety equipment
• Support team members in rigging, lifting, and securing large billboard components safely and efficiently
• Follow all safety protocols, including the use of harnesses, helmets, and other personal protective equipment (PPE) while working at heights
• Prepare work sites by setting up ladders and other access equipment needed for construction tasks
• Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues during installation or repairs
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage of tools and materials

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

We work hard. We move fast. We operate safely. This position is physically demanding, mentally taxing, and requires solid knowledge of hand & power tools.

To consider you for this position YOU MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 2-YEARS OUTDOOR CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE and you must confidently meet the following requirements:

• Prior experience in OUTDOOR CONSTRUCTION and a strong understanding of hand tools and construction equipment is required
• Ability to work confidently at heights up to 200 feet while maintaining focus on safety
• Physical strength and stamina - ability to lift up to 100 lbs. repeatedly and work in all weather conditions from fixed and extension ladders
• Morning motivated - may be required to start as early as 5:00am
• Flexibility with finish time - finishing time varies. We finish when the job is done
• Ability to travel at least 1-3 times per month, occasionally for 1-2 weeks at a time
• Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward safety procedures
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members
• Ability to learn new construction skills quickly while maintaining safety standards

Ideal Candidates Have -

• Prior sign or billboard construction experience
• Experience operating boom lifts or working at heights
• Carpentry experience
• Welding or metal fabrication experience

EDUCATION & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Reliable transportation to our shop
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Basic math skills
