Landscape Maintenance Route Manager – The Villages, FL
We are a growing landscape maintenance company seeking a reliable, motivated Landscape Maintenance Route Manager to run and maintain a residential route in The Villages, FL area.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in quality work, can lead by example, and is ready to take ownership of a route.
Position Details:
- Monday to Friday schedule, starting at 7:00 AM (occasional Saturdays as needed)
- Starting at $19.00 per hour (based on experience, with opportunities for raises)
- Paid overtime (time and a half) for all hours over 40
- Clear path to higher pay based on performance and reliability
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and complete a daily residential landscape maintenance route
- Perform and oversee all aspects of landscape maintenance, with a primary focus on hedge and shrub trimming and detailed property cleanup, while also assisting with mowing, edging, and blowing as needed
- Lead and work alongside a small crew to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and to company standards
- Maintain consistent, high-quality results across all assigned properties
- Safely operate trucks, trailers, and commercial landscaping equipment
- Monitor equipment and report maintenance needs
- Communicate with management regarding route progress, issues, and customer needs
Requirements:
- Prior landscape maintenance experience required
- Leadership or crew leader experience preferred, but not required for the right candidate
- Ability to stay productive and lead by example throughout the day
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (must be able to drive truck and trailer)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in Florida heat and weather
- Reliable transportation to our shop in Belleview
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
