Job Summary

We are currently seeking a caring, reliable, and professional CPI-Certified Caregiver to support individuals who may experience behavioral or emotional challenges. This role is ideal for someone with strong de-escalation skills, excellent communication abilities, and a calm, confident approach in stressful situations. The CPI-Certified Caregiver plays a key role in maintaining safety, preventing crisis escalation, and supporting clients in achieving stability and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)-approved techniques to recognize early warning signs and safely prevent or de-escalate crisis situations.

• Provide direct supervision and support to clients according to individualized care and behavioral support plans.

• Assist clients with daily living activities while promoting independence, dignity, and respect.

• Respond appropriately and professionally during crisis situations, following company policies and CPI guidelines.

• Maintain accurate, timely, and professional documentation of daily activities, behavioral observations, and incident reports.

• Collaborate closely with supervisors, case managers, and care team members to ensure consistent, high-quality care.

• Help create and maintain a safe, therapeutic, and supportive environment for both clients and staff.

Required Qualifications

• Current Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Certification (required).

• Minimum of 5 years of caregiving experience.

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).

• Ability to remain calm, professional, and focused in high-pressure or unpredictable situations.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent patience, empathy, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in behavioral health, social services, education, or healthcare.

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field.

• Previous experience working with individuals experiencing behavioral or emotional challenges.
