W2 payroll position requiring a livescan and background check to be cleared before working with client. Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the US.

Seeking a Special Needs Care Provider - Social Support Buddy for a 21 year old female client in home for after school activities.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills Able to transfer a 175 lb person from wheelchair to and from sofa using a hoyer lift. Client needs full assistance. Willing to change diapers for a wheelchair-bound client. Having a valid DL, reliable vehicle due to location of home. Compassionate, Patient, Trustworthy and FUN! Responsible, Reliability and consistency with being on time is required.

Willing to serve as a social buddy (e.g., play games, puzzles, etc)

To accommodate a wheelchair, we have a two-story home with a ramp to get into the house. We also have a chair lift in case client needs to access the second floor if needed.

The care we are seeking:

Client arrives home from school via bus. We need someone who can reliably arrive on time and independently take her off the bus, wash her hands, prepare a snack or change a diaper, if needed. Her social buddy should be engaged and be willing to do puzzles, art, games to keep her company. Client can be non-verbal if she’s getting to know someone, but she is generally verbal once comfortable.

Pay: $35.00 per hour
