Abound Health is hiring compassionate, reliable Home-Based Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in Lackawanna County, with positions available in Scranton, Dickson City, Newfoundland, Covington Township, Jermyn, and surrounding communities.

Full and Part Time Hours Available!

About The Role

As a DSP, you will provide one-on-one support in clients� homes and communities. Your work helps individuals live safely, independently, and with dignity. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, dependable, and passionate about helping others.

Key Responsibilities

• Support behavioral, social, and vocational skill development
• Assist with recreational and community activities
• Follow treatment plans and document progress
• Provide companionship and respite care
• Submit documentation and payroll on time
• Participate in ongoing training
• Assist with personal care needs as required
• Work independently in home and community settings
  
  

What We�re Looking For

• Genuine interest in supporting individuals with I/DD
• Ability to work independently and responsibly
• Valid driver�s license and active car insurance
• Open-minded and comfortable supporting individuals with varying personal-care and behavioral-support needs
• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass background checks
• Physical ability to assist with lifting or transfers if needed
  
  

Compensation

$15.00�$20.00 per hour

$1,000 signing bonus for qualified candidates

Schedule

• Various hours available
• Flexible scheduling
• Morning, afternoon, or evening shifts
  
  

Experience

• 1 year of caregiving experience preferred (not required�training provided)

Signing Bonus Details

• $333 after 90 days (minimum 20 hours/week)
• $333 after 6 months (minimum 20 hours/week)
• $334 after 1 year (minimum 20 hours/week)
  
  

Bonus not available for Residential Services or Relative as Provider (RAP) hires. Applicants must not have worked for Abound Health or its affiliates within the past 18 months.
