What You’ll Do:

The Compliance Manager plays a vital role in Abound Credit Union’s (Credit Union) risk management process.

The Compliance Manager will support the Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC) program by performing risk assessments and monitoring activities to ensure that the Compliance Program remains current and is aligned with regulatory and legal requirements.

To effectively manage the Compliance Program, the Compliance Manager works closely with all departments to ensure regulatory and fiduciary obligations are met. This role assists in tracking and advising the departments on implications of new regulatory and legal policies, products, and supports in the implementation of new or revised policies and programs to address them.

To identify trends, and appropriately mitigate risk, this position develops and maintains compliance information for analysis and reporting.

The Compliance Manger provides day-to-day management of the Credit Union Regulatory Compliance needs.

What We Need:

• Bachelor’s degree. 
• Credit Union Compliance Certification (CUCO or CUCE) or similar certification through an accredited organization.  If not certified at time of position appointment individuals will complete certification within six months of appointment to position. Certified individuals will complete compliance classes no less than once every quarter and will keep certification active.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance and/or operations in the financial industry.
• Prior management experience required
• Ability to work independently with only broad mission-type guidance, delivering desired products under strict time constraints.
• Expertise in NCUA regulations, CFPB guidelines and other applicable financial laws
• Knowledge of/experience in applying compliance/auditing principles, practices, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and procedures.
• Experience in lending compliance (Mortgage and Consumer)
• Ability to understand complex legal and regulatory material and apply to work situations.
• Superior communication skills, both oral and written.

Salary Info:

$67,528.27 to $84,410.34 annually
