$75,000 base salary unlimited commission bonuses

THE ROLE
We are looking for a driven, mission-focused Associate Attorney to join our personal injury team under Managing Attorney E. Nathan Harris. Based out of our Hoover, AL office, you will handle cases statewide across Alabama — and extending to our Marietta, GA office for Georgia cases if you hold or are willing to obtain a Georgia law license.
This is not a seat-filler position. We want someone who is energized by fighting for people, communicating fluently in English and Spanish, and delivering the passionate, results-driven representation our clients deserve.
Full bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is an absolute requirement.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Manage a PI caseload from intake through resolution — car accidents, truck accidents, slip-and-falls, workplace injuries, wrongful death, and more
- Conduct client interviews, gather evidence, and develop case strategies
- Draft demand letters, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
- Negotiate with insurance adjusters and opposing counsel to secure maximum recovery
- Represent clients at depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials as needed
- Serve as a trusted bilingual point of contact — delivering clear, empathetic communication in English and Spanish
- Embody ACL’s values of passionate advocacy, deep respect, and unyielding pursuit of justice in every client interaction
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Active Alabama bar license; Georgia bar license is a strong plus
- Demonstrated hands-on personal injury case experience — you know the process and the pressure
- Full professional bilingual fluency in English and Spanish — written and verbal
- Genuine passion for serving immigrants and underrepresented communities
- Strong negotiation skills and a results-driven mindset
- Excellent organizational ability to manage multiple active files
- High emotional intelligence — our clients need empathy as much as expertise
