What You’ll Do
Our Senior Software Engineer will be deeply technical and highly autonomous. We pride ourselves on giving engineers extreme ownership. You will:
- Build and scale core systems: Architect and implement complex, high-impact features across our property tax, insurance, energy, and mortgage optimization products.
- Ship high-quality software fast: Write reliable, secure, production-ready code using React, Node.js, and modern cloud tooling.
- Own end-to-end architecture: Design, build, and maintain workflows that support tens of thousands of users.
- Use data to guide engineering decisions: Instrument, analyze, and optimize system performance.
- Partner cross-functionally: Work closely with product, design, and operations to turn ideas into real, user-facing experiences.
- Iterate quickly based on customer feedback: Build, test, refine — and ship improvements at startup speed.

Basic Qualifications
Our non-negotiables:
- You’re in Austin or willing to relocate. We’re in-person 4 days per week.
- 5 years of experience as a software engineer, ideally in early-stage startups.
- Proficiency with React, Node.js, SQL, and modern cloud environments (AWS preferred).
- Experience architecting and maintaining complex systems end-to-end.
- Ability to work independently while producing high-quality, reliable results.
- Comfort with AI-enabled tooling and modern dev workflows (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, v0, Claude Code).
