Job Description
The Property Accountant works under the direction of the Accounting Supervisor and is responsible for the preparation and maintenance of assigned sets of books for various operating properties; tracking advances made by Abode Communities; tracking and reconciliation of various balance sheet schedules; review receivables from tenants; and review and approve accounts payable invoices. Duties include:

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business, or relevant field.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in affordable housing, property management, non-profit accounting, and multiple sets of books preferred.
- Flexibility and willingness to learn new software, systems, and processes.
- Strong communicator and able to take initiative to resolve tasks and issues.
- Flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
Salaries are commensurate with the education and experience of the finalist. Additionally, a full benefits package is offered which includes: health, dental and vision insurance, long term disability insurance, 401K plan, paid vacation and sick leave benefits. Abode Communities' corporate staff work on a 9/80 schedule allowing for every other Friday off.

Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
