Clinical Physician Lead Role
In this full-time clinical physician lead role, you will work under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and have several clinical responsibilities, along with specified administrative duties. You will provide day-to-day clinical care to residents residing in facilities as well as home-bound patients, promoting the company's vision and mission through ethical and evidence-based decision-making.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provides high-quality complex and geriatric care to residents and patients across settings in partnership with non-physician practitioners and other interprofessional team members.
- Maintains high engagement with facility leadership teams, nurse practitioners/physician assistants, patients, and families.
- Collaborates with an average of 5 but up to 15 nurse practitioners and physician assistants to support them in their clinical roles.
- Audits up to 10% of practitioner medical orders and/or documentation for each provider monthly, based on state and regional regulatory frameworks.
- Assumes medical directorships for skilled and/or other senior living facilities when needed.
- Identifies new growth opportunities with skilled facilities and/or other senior living facilities in the market/region.
- Participates in company frontline/back-up call processes for timely response to acute changes of condition.
- Fosters high focus on quality outcomes, including care path compliance, productivity, prevention of avoidable transfers, and decrease in polypharmacy and costs of care.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited school of medicine and hold a Doctor of Medicine degree.
- Two or more years of administrative leadership experience in healthcare.
- Clinical medical experience of seven years or more preferred.
Certifications/License/Other Special Requirements:
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatrics; qualification in Geriatrics preferred.
- Practicing physician currently licensed under the provisions of the State Board of Medicine.
- Active unrestricted licensure to practice in the state of employment.
- Current Drug Enforcement Administration registration.
