Key Responsibilities
- **Client Acquisition:** Leverage your extensive network, cold calling, advertising, and creative strategies to prospect for new clients.
- **Strategic Planning:** Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans to attract and engage new prospects, create compelling proposals, respond to RFPs, and close new business deals.
- **Account Management:** Grow and retain existing accounts by presenting innovative solutions and services, ensuring client satisfaction and loyalty.
- **Market Knowledge:** Maintain a deep understanding of the market, ABM's offerings, and competitors to build a robust pipeline of new business opportunities.
- **Proposal Development:** Utilize ABM-branded marketing materials to craft detailed, customized, and engaging proposals.
- **Facility Research:** Investigate customers' existing facility solutions and programs, and schedule bid walks with prospects.
- **Team Collaboration:** Work closely with operations teams in strategic and financial planning to ensure seamless delivery of proposal commitments.
- **Contract Negotiation:** Negotiate contracts, close deals, and manage the transition to operations for successful implementation.
- **Leadership:** Establish yourself as a leader within your territory, building a diverse network of relationships with industry influencers, community partners, strategic partners, and prospective clients.
- **Database Management:** Maintain a comprehensive database for the territory using Salesforce.
- **Budget Management:** Optimize resources and achieve sales targets by effectively managing the assigned budget.
- **Marketing Support:** Enhance brand visibility and attract new clients by supporting ABM's online and direct marketing campaigns.
- **Competitive Intelligence:** Monitor bid schedules and understand the competition to stay ahead in the marketplace.
- **Training and Development:** Assist in training and developing a network of skilled and informed operators.
- **Collaboration:** Partner with operators to gain a deep understanding of prospects, clients, and your sales territory.
- **Intelligence Gathering:** Support the corporation by gathering competitive intelligence to inform strategic decisions.
- **Experience:** Minimum of 8 years in Business Development and Sales, with a strong background in the manufacturing and distribution industry.
- **Education:** Bachelor's degree preferred, or significant related experience.
- **Sales Expertise:** Proven hunter mentality with services sales experience, particularly in facility services, janitorial, commercial real estate, or related fields.
- **Industry Contacts:** Relevant and immediate sales contacts within the territory preferred, such as JLL, CBRE, CW, or other property management and owners.
- **Skills:** Proficiency in Salesforce or other CRM systems, and Excel.
- **Leadership:** Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse workforce, collaborate with operations, other departments, and teams.
- **Proposal Writing:** Strong skills in writing and presenting compelling, detailed sales proposals.
- **Organization:** Well-organized and able to handle multiple proposals and process s simultaneously.
- **Independence:** Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- **Pressure Management:** Ability to work well under pressure to meet established goals
