Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in building maintenance.
- Customer service experience and great communication skills
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.
- Proficient in using maintenance management software and tools.
- Provide excellent documentation and record keeping on equipment failures and repairs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to respond to after-hours emergencies.
- Preference will be given to candidates with extensive commercial HVAC experience and license
Working Conditions
- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- May require lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
- On-call availability for emergencies and occasional weekend or evening work.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Perform hands-on maintenance tasks including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs.
- Conduct regular inspections of campus buildings and infrastructure to identify and address maintenance needs.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or projects.
- Assist in planning and executing preventative maintenance programs.
- Provide input on budget planning for maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Support campus events by ensuring facilities are prepared and operational.
