HVAC Technician III, HVAC

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Technician III to join our Chesapeake branch. This role focuses primarily on commercial service work, with some installation responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in troubleshooting, calibrating, and repairing HVAC systems across a variety of equipment types and tonnage ranges.

Pay: 35.00 - 48.00/hr.  The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years in HVAC, with at least 3 years in commercial environments preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• EPA certification and OSHA compliance required
• Ability to work on systems ranging from 25 to 100 tons
• Strong communication, professionalism, and ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications:

• Candidates with blended experience in residential and commercial HVAC will be considered, but commercial experience is prioritized
• Familiarity with a variety of systems including RTUs, chillers, boilers, and mini splits
• Demonstrated stability and growth in previous roles
• Ability to work autonomously within 30–90 days of onboarding

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair HVAC components including thermostats, burners, transformers, controls, RTUs, chillers, boilers, mini splits
• Use tools such as multimeters and refrigerant gauges
• Perform both service and installation work, with a preference for service-heavy experience
• Travel to multiple client sites (not assigned to a single location)
• Participate in monthly safety meetings and occasional project briefings
• Receive daily dispatches and operate from a company-provided vehicle
