The Commercial HVAC Service Technician performs maintenance, repairs and installation of assigned HVAC and refrigeration equipment. This includes controls, chilled water systems, boilers, package units up to 130 tons, split systems and various other mechanical, electrical and building systems in accordance with ABM client expectations and requests.

Qualifications:
- Five plus years of Field Based (multi-client site support) Commercial/Industrial HVAC experience is required.
- Must be willing to organize with the Local 189 Union (if not already a member).
- Must possess EPA Universal certification credentials.
- Must have refrigeration/HVAC trade or vocational certification.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must possess a valid, unexpired driver's license.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, calibrate and adjust pilots, thermostats and burners, transformers, controls, relays, heaters, elements, switches and controls on electrical systems.
- Use common tools of the HVAC trade in daily work (e.g. multimeter, refrigerant gauges, charging charts, hand tools etc.)
- Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
- Identify maintenance risks on equipment.
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
- Clean, adjust and repair systems, and perform warranty services.
- Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
- Provide technical direction and on-the-job training.
- Keep daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
- Ensure compliance with appliance standards and with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Comply with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.
- Assist with customer queries inquiries.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
