Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Completion of food preparation and sanitation training or certification is required.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare nutritious, well-balanced meals in accordance with physician-directed dietary plans, including specialized diets for patients with food allergies and eating disorders.
- Follow strict food safety, sanitation, and allergy-prevention protocols to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with dietary staff and healthcare professionals to accommodate individual dietary needs and restrictions.
- Accurately label and handle ingredients to prevent cross-contamination, especially for allergen-sensitive meals.
- Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and food prep area in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor portion sizes and food presentation to support therapeutic meal plans and promote a healthy eating environment.
- Participate in ongoing training related to food allergies, disordered eating, and behavioral health nutrition.
- Document food temperatures, cleaning schedules, and meal service records in accordance with hospital standards.
- Communicate effectively with staff regarding patient needs, menu changes, and safety concerns.
