Compensation: $150,000 - $200,000 annual salary (US Dollars)

Position Summary: 

ABM is searching for an Account Director who will be responsible for overseeing all operational, financial, and strategic activities related to the delivery of ABM's services for a large, multi-site, semiconductor equipment manufacturer. This role manages a diverse portfolio of projects and sustaining work while serving as the primary interface with client leadership. The Account Director will lead a large, multi-disciplinary organization, oversee P&L and drive long-term growth strategies to expand ABM’s footprint within this world-class semiconductor environment.

The Account Director executes operational processes in alignment with the ABM Performance Solutions (APS) Platform Team ensuring that Client outcomes are achieved; Client/Faculty, Staff, experience is positive; ABM financial objectives are met, and sales opportunities are reviewed and supported.  The Account Director is the primary point of accountability to the Client, responsible for delivering operational excellence, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, and growing ABM’s presence at the site. The successful leader will have the ability to lead in a high-demand, fast-paced environment while aligning with the unique culture and operational rigor of the Client's organization. The successful candidate must be comfortable navigating rapid growth, evolving priorities, and scaling operations with speed, discipline, and accountability.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Engineering or Facilities related curriculum, and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge and experience working in critical, regulated manufacturing environments such as semiconductor, life science, energy, and aerospace.
  • 12 years of experience in supporting/overseeing hard (skilled) and soft (non-skilled) operations for owners/operators of built environments.
  • Experience engaging in client relationships for top tier (US and/or multi-national) corporations or institutions.
  • Familiarity and experience with enterprise software solutions related to operating the built environment such as ERP, CMMS, BAS, BMS, WOM, FMCS, and IWMS.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies such as IoT, VR, AI and Smart Buildings.
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of Supplier Relationship Management.
  • Understanding of client/market dynamics and requirements.
  • Solid understanding of effective operating principles, practices of managing employees and the ability to effectively apply these principles to direct reports in support of a collegial, client-focused, and competent work unit.
  • Ability to engage clients at a senior level and lead/support client business reviews, client presentations and client retention initiatives.
  • Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders to ensure high levels of satisfaction and lay the foundation for continued growth and partnership.
  • Demonstrate a professional and adaptable demeanor with internal and external clients.
  • Exercise a high degree of professionalism and self-motivation using personal initiative to identify and recommend best practices.

  • Must be well-informed of market trends, regulations, and best practice in maintaining and operating built environments as well as being willing to participate in panel discussions, conferences, network organizations, and focus groups.
  • Must understand accounts receivable processes, profit and loss (P&L) statements, and general knowledge of financial performance to achieve positive value for ABM and our stockholders.
  • Must be able to work with Microsoft suite of products such as PowerPoint, PBI, Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, and OneNote.
  • Proven leadership and ability to collaborate in a dynamic diverse environment.

Responsibilities:

Client & Account Leadership

  • Serve as the executive lead for ABM’s account building and maintaining strong client relationships at all levels.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for sustaining operations and expansion project support.
  • Align ABM’s services with client strategic objectives. 
  • Ensure team Compliance with customer and ABM corporate policies (personnel, accounting, technical service, safety and health, ethical conduct, etc.) 
  • Oversee sustaining services across hard and soft services, cleanroom services, and critical utilities.
  • Drive performance management, KPIs, and reporting for uptime, safety (TRIR), and compliance.
  • Implement continuous improvement programs to maximize reliability and efficiency.
  • Manage site budgets, labor resources, and subcontractor performance.
  • Develops and/or approves facility operations performance and quality standards.
  • Partner with ABM project management and corporate teams to ensure seamless integration between sustaining operations and new deliverables.
  • Drive compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary team of ABM managers, supervisors, and technicians.
  • Ensure proper workforce planning, training, and succession planning to support business continuity.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and innovation.

 

Operational Excellence – Sustaining Work

  • Oversee sustaining services across hard and soft services, cleanroom services, and critical utilities.
  • Drive performance management, KPIs, and reporting for uptime, safety (TRIR), and compliance.
  • Implement continuous improvement programs to maximize reliability and efficiency.
  • Manage site budgets, labor resources, and subcontractor performance.

Expansion Support

  • Partner with ABM project management and corporate teams to ensure seamless integration between sustaining operations and new deliverables.
  • Drive compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.

 

People Leadership

  • Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary team of ABM managers, supervisors, and technicians.
  • Ensure proper workforce planning, training, and succession planning to support business continuity.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and innovation.

 

Business Growth & Strategy

  • Identify and pursue opportunities for scope expansion in sustaining and project-related services.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders on long-term strategic growth with client across multiple sites.
  • Own P&L management, revenue growth, and margin improvement.

Other

  • Prepares, recommends, and administers with assistance from Facility Managers, the annual facility budget.  Reports exceptions to customer and ABM management and adjusts budget as necessary.
  • Ensures that federal, state, and local regulatory requirements are met including DER, OSHA, FLSA, EEO, ADA, etc.
  • Oversees review of completed work regularly and ensures that quality standards are met or exceeded to the satisfaction of the customer.
  • If applicable, ensure that labor contract requirements are met; makes routine contract interpretations as required; and maintains a harmonious working relationship with union representatives. Organizes and participates in facility audit activities.
  • Commercial/property manager coordination
  • Adherence to ABM’s Core Values of Respect, Integrity, Collaboration, Innovation, Excellence and Trust.
  • Understand safety and security requirements for the client and ABM performance in compliance with requirements. 
  • Conversion of existing discrete, multi and bundled service accounts to APS accounts.
  • Creation of a strong operational culture based on an engaged and professional workforce in a highly collaborative team atmosphere.
  • Development of strong client relationships with levels above the day-to-day site and account contacts.
  • P&L ownership and a strong financial acumen with the ability to understand a P&L statement and identify opportunities for margin improvement and trend analysis.
  • Ability to develop an internal network (with Functional Groups) and external network (perspective clients, industry, etc.).
  • Proactively identify potential risks and assign proper resources to mitigate those risks.
  • Review and approve cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline use of resources and materials.
  • Implement and integrate productivity measures and delivery methods to achieve planned ROI and KPI’s
  • Ensure that quality standards are assigned, measured, tracked, reported and met.
  • Drive a culture of safety following required safety activities, inspections, and KPI’s.
  • Drive decisions across multiple groups through the entire ABM team.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to travel and manage sites in multiple states.
