Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanic role located in Sulphur, LA. The Mechanic will inspect, diagnose, and repair rental tools and heavy equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation for customers. Daily responsibilities include performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic issues, and completing necessary documentation for work orders. The role also involves maintaining a clean and organized work area, collaborating with the rental team on equipment readiness, and occasionally providing technical support to customers and colleagues. The Mechanic will follow company safety procedures and industry best practices while working with a variety of industrial and construction equipment.
Qualifications
- Strong maintenance and repair skills, including experience with Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, and Maintenance & Repair.
- Hands-on experience working with Heavy Equipment in industrial or construction environments.
- Solid troubleshooting abilities for mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, technical diagrams, and work orders.
- Familiarity with using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company and regulatory safety standards.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanics or related field is preferred.
- Previous experience as a mechanic in rental, industrial, or construction settings is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move equipment as required and work in a shop environment for extended periods.
