What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Capacity Scale Technician position at Able Scale & Equipment?
We are looking for the right person to fill our need for a Heavy Capacity Scale Technician for our well-established company. We are looking for a reliable and dependable person that is ready to work and excited to grow with us.
Responsibilities will include:
· Batch Plant and Truck Scale Calibrations
· Basic Repairs on Truck Scales and Batch Plants
· Performing Preventative Maintenance
We require someone with exceptional mechanical ability, strong use of hand tools and some wiring experience or multiple years of weighing industry experience.
Here are some examples of tools that we use on a regular basis:
· Combination Wrenches
· Ratchets and Sockets
· Right Angle Grinder
· Impact Guns
· Multimeter
· Wiring Tools
We will also train you to use a multitude of other tools including Oxyacetylene Torches and the various methods of welding.
This position requires working at asphalt plants, concrete plants and industrial locations that include but may not be limited to:
· Environments with hazards such as chemicals, vehicle traffic, machinery, dirt, dust, cold/hot and fumes.
· Physical ability to lift, up to 50 pounds and to handle heavier loads pushing, carrying and or pulling. Kneeling, crouching, stooping and repeated bending movements without limitations required.
· PPE and safety requirements must be followed. To also ensure that our employees can work in a safe manner they may be subject to drug testing.
· Communication skills and ability to document work performed.
A clean driving record must be maintained with the use of company vehicles, CDL preferred but not required. Must have high school diploma or GED, or 3 years commercial industry knowledge.
Starting wage $23.50 per hour depending on experience, benefits available.
Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
