Job Summary
We are looking to hire a heavy equipment operator/pipe layer for part or full time basis on a residential construction scale.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks.
- Install underground utilities including sanitary sewers, water supply lines, and stormwater systems according to construction plans and blueprints.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Use utility locating tools and techniques.
- Perform construction trenching while adhering to safety regulations and project timelines.
- Follow all federal construction safety regulations and company safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment at all times.
Skills
- Proficient use in heavy equipment operation including dozer, loader, backhoe, excavator, and front loader truck.
- Knowledge to conduct routine maintenance and small repairs. (preferred)
- Pipe installation. (preferred)
- Residential foundation preparation work. (preferred)
- Knowledge of wastewater systems, sanitary drainage systems, sewer line installation, and underground utility systems. (preferred)
Pay: $27.00 - $36.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
