Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to support veterinarians in providing high-quality medical services to our furry patients. This role involves assisting with various tasks in the clinic, ensuring the comfort and safety of animals, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Duties
- Be a kind and welcoming face and voice when greeting clients and their pets to the veterinary clinic both in person and on the phone.
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
- Collect and update patient information, including medical history and insurance details
- Assist with filling out forms and paperwork for new patients
- Coordinate with veterinary staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient service
- Provide basic information to clients regarding pet care appointments.
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal-related setting preferred but will train.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their pets
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Prefer proficient in computer systems and software, including appointment scheduling programs
-Provide compassionate care to animals, ensuring their comfort during visits.
-Educate pet owners on proper animal care, including nutrition, hygiene, and preventive health measures.
