We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team in an outpatient surgical center. This position plays a key role in supporting the financial operations of the Center, including monthly close, budgeting, audits, and departmental reporting. Key Responsibilities
- Perform basic accounting functions to the monthly financial close, audits, and budgeting
- Prepare accurate monthly financial analyses
- Analyze financial results and investigate variances between actual performance and budget
- Provide clear and accurate explanations of financial variances to leadership and department managers
- Support departmental staff with reporting related to revenue, expenses, and statistical data
- Assist with special projects, operating budget preparation, and financial audits as needed
- Help maintain efficient day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department
- Consistently adhere to departmental standards for a professional office environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
OR
- Minimum 5 years of healthcare accounting experience
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
- Experience in healthcare or ambulatory surgery center accounting is preferred
- Strong IT skills
