Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of school premises, including hallways, entrances, parking lots, and outdoor areas to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security issues.
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to oversee campus activity and respond swiftly to suspicious behavior or incidents.
- Manage access control systems to verify identities, authorize entry for authorized personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel.
- Respond promptly to emergencies by implementing established procedures for fire safety, medical incidents, or security breaches; perform first aid and CPR when necessary.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting security events, accidents, or disturbances accurately and promptly for record-keeping and follow-up actions.
- Handle conflict de-escalation techniques to resolve disputes peacefully while maintaining safety for all parties involved.
Requirements
- Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of physical security measures including CCTV operation, access control systems, alarm systems, and surveillance techniques.
- Certification in first aid, CPR/AED operation, and familiarity with emergency response procedures are essential.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or incident management.
- Skilled in incident report writing with attention to detail and clarity; experience with conflict management and conflict de-escalation strategies is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to remain calm under pressure during emergencies or conflicts.
- Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond swiftly in various situations; ability to perform heavy lifting when required.
