Abington Manor is currently looking for a full time Activities Director We are seeking candidates who have a passion for working with seniors A wholehearted individual whose interests align with our residents and meeting the recreation program and service needs of each resident. Applicants should be creative, outgoing, and motivational to our residents in activities and events.

Requirements of the Activities Director:
- Certified Activities Professional
- High School diploma or GED
- Previous skilled nursing or long term care experience required
- Must be able to relate professionally and positively to our residents and families and to work cooperatively with others
- A wholehearted individual whose interests lie with our residents, and meeting the recreation program and service needs.
- Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen.
Responsibilities of the Activities Director:
- Responsibilities will include plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operations of the Recreation Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, our established policies and procedures,and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that an on-going program of activities is designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical,mental,and psychosocial well- being of each resident.
- Implementation of comprehensive therapeutic recreation services and programs that meet the needs and interests of each client.
- Complete required documentation, assist with planning and leadership of special events, and maintain activity department supplies and equipment.
