What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Nurse position at ABINGDON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL?
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate must hold a current Virginia Nursing License. Minimum of 3 years’ experience is preferred.
Provides appropriate preventive, acute, emergent and chronic health care management for students, promotes student wellness, supports student academic achievement, encourages safe environment, acts as health resource for students, families and faculty/staff, provides limited services for employees including emergent care.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Effective Date: 2026-2027 school year
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Benefits: VRS pension and life insurance, medical/dental insurance, sick days and personal days
