We are seeking a mature, independent , motivated and customer-oriented Cashier/Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing transactions efficiently, and contributing to a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and assisting with product selection.
- Handle cash transactions and ensure accurate cash handling practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area while adhering to merchandising standards.
- Assist with stocking shelves and managing inventory levels to ensure product availability.
- Conduct product demonstrations to promote new items and encourage upselling opportunities.
- Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance and support in daily operations.
- Utilize retail math skills to manage sales reports and track inventory effectively.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers, demonstrating strong phone etiquette when necessary.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills are essential for this role.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in merchandising and stocking is a plus.
- Ability to upsell products while maintaining a positive customer experience.
- Prior supervising experience is advantageous but not required.
