About the Role:

The Nutritionist for Early Intervention plays a crucial role in promoting the health and well-being of young children through tailored nutritional guidance and support. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential or equivalent certification.
  • Experience working with children and families in an educational or healthcare setting.
  • Willing to work in person and or remotely in any of the 5 boroughs most especially in Monroe, Nassau, Suffolk, Westerchest, Rockland, Putnam, Duchess, Orange etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Nutrition or a related field.
  • Experience in early childhood education or early intervention services.
  • Familiarity with community resources and programs related to child nutrition.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for children in early intervention programs.
  • Develop and implement personalized nutrition plans based on individual needs and family preferences.
  • Provide education and resources to families regarding healthy eating practices and meal planning.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators and healthcare providers, to support children's overall development.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition interventions and make necessary adjustments.

The required skills for this position include strong analytical abilities to assess children's nutritional needs and develop effective plans. Excellent communication skills are essential for educating families and collaborating with other professionals. Salary : $120 - $180
