Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM (Flexible)
No weekend, nighttime, or holiday on-call. Mileage reimbursement provided.

Registered Nurse (RN)

Are you looking for a nursing role where you can focus on the whole person, build meaningful relationships, and make a difference beyond the traditional healthcare setting?

At Ability Beyond, our nurses provide clinical oversight and care coordination while supporting individuals in their homes and communities. This role supports individuals with a variety of needs, including intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), mental health conditions, acquired brain injuries, and complex medical needs.

No two days look exactly the same. You'll have the opportunity to work across residential programs, respond to a variety of health needs, and use your nursing expertise in a community-based setting.

In This Role, You'll:

Provide nursing oversight across multiple residential homes.
Monitor health status and respond to changing clinical needs.
Coordinate medications, treatments, medical appointments, and provider recommendations.
Partner with residential staff, healthcare providers, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Educate, coach, and support staff in meeting the health needs of the individuals they serve.
Use clinical judgment to identify concerns, solve problems, and advocate for person-centered care.
Ensure compliance with applicable clinical, regulatory, and agency requirements.

What We're Looking For:

Active Connecticut RN License.
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
Experience working with young adults preferred.
Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health conditions, acquired brain injuries, or other complex medical needs preferred.
Experience in residential services, community health, behavioral health, rehabilitation, home care, or human services settings is a plus.
Strong communication, organization, clinical judgment, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently while building strong partnerships with staff, providers, and families.
