REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years experience in a fast paced commercial or industrial setting
- Ideal candidate will have relevant experience working with people with disabilities
- Ability to demonstrate proficiency in basic tests of reading, math, data recording and inspection
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds unassisted on a regular basis
- Sufficient stamina and standing tolerance to stand and walk on a concrete floor for up to 90% of the work day
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Carry out assembly, collating, packaging, or other machine or benchwork tasks using defined methodology and production standards.
- Monitor quality of assigned jobs.
- Ensure that all material is properly handled, stored, counted, tagged and shipped.
- Train and supervise a group of consumers in evaluation, training or employment status on assigned jobs.
- Maintain accurate production counts and hours worked for consumers assigned.
