JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Prepares patients for radiologic procedures. Takes x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
- Obtains quality diagnostic radiographic as requested by physicians. (As quickly as exam/patient condition will allow. Keeping a repeat rate of 2% or less.)
- Uses radiation protection and shielding materials when required.
- Reviews and QAs radiologic images.
- Ensures that all equipment is in compliance with state regulations, is maintained in good working order and clean.
- Liaison between patients, physicians, and medical support staff. Must demonstrate a caring and professional manner in order to make patients feel comfortable.
- Inventories and stocks radiologic supplies.
- Attends required staff meetings.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Maintains current continuing medical education as required.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Requirements
EDUCATIONAL AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School degree or equivalent.
- Must be a RT. No LMRTs or NCTs
- ARRT and MRT Certification required
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Orthopedic experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor.
- Neat, professional appearance.
