Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Parish Administrator to oversee the daily operations of our community’s spiritual and administrative functions. This vital role ensures the smooth coordination of church activities, manages office procedures, and supports staff, volunteers, and parishioners alike. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to managing a busy office environment. Your leadership will help foster a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining efficient administrative workflows that uphold the mission of our parish community.

Duties

  • Manage all administrative tasks including scheduling, calendar management, and front desk operations to ensure seamless daily activities.
  • Coordinate event planning for church services, community outreach programs, and special events, ensuring all logistics are handled efficiently.
  • Handle bookkeeping responsibilities using software, including invoicing, expense tracking, payroll processing and financial record keeping.
  • Maintain accurate filing systems for parish records and other essential documents while ensuring confidentiality.
  • Support budgeting processes by monitoring expenses and assisting with financial planning to align with parish goals.
  • Facilitate communication within the parish community through phone etiquette, email correspondence, and bulletin updates.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in office management or administrative roles within a church preferred
  • Proficiency in accounting software along with excellent bookkeeping skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple schedules simultaneously.
  • Experience in event planning, vendor management, and budget oversight.
  • Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—and professional phone etiquette.
  • Familiarity with calendar management tools, filing systems, and clerical procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining accuracy in record keeping.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
