General Laborer (Part Time)

Basic Function: 

The General Laborer is responsible for assisting various departments including production, warehouse, and maintenance in completing essential tasks.

Activities & Responsibilities: 

• Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and productive work environment
• Collaborate with team members to accomplish daily tasks efficiently and effectively
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
• Flexibility to work in different areas of the facility as assigned by management

Production:

• Execute general production duties  as needed. This includes, but is not limited to: tool assembly, component preparation, packaging, and operating hand tools. 
• Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
• Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials

Warehouse:

• Execute general warehouse duties  as needed. This includes, but is not limited to organizing inventory, crating and/or packing, and pre-assembling component packages (pre-boxing/kitting)
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations 

Fleet & Facility: 

• Perform basic and routine cleaning tasks in every area of the facility

• Execute basic repairs as needed. This includes, but is not limited to: changing light bulbs, clearing drains, painting walls, etc.
• Execute basic grounds maintenance as needed. This includes, but is not limited to: mowing, trimming, and caring for lawn, shrubbery, and trees 
• Wash and detail company vehicles as requested.

Education & Experience:

• Experienced in reading and using measuring tools and gauges. 
  

Physical Requirements:

• Must have the ability to stand, sit, kneel and climb for up to eight hours of the workday.
• Must have the ability to safely lift 50 pounds.
• Must be willing to work part-time, seasonally, in-house.
• Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
• Ability to talk or hear to communicate with others via phone, in-person, and/or computer.
• Ability to listen to customers/vendors/colleagues, problem solve, and respond accordingly.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently. 

Environmental Conditions & Travel:

• The employee is exposed to an office environment with moderate noise as well as warehouse and manufacturing environments with moderate noise.
• The employee is required to wear suitable Personal Protective Equipment while working in the warehouse or manufacturing environments.
• Travel: Less than 5%.
