What are the responsibilities and job description for the Home Care Assistant/Nursing Assistant-3rd shift Per Diem position at Abernethy Laurels?
We are currently seeking compassionate and reliable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our home care team for overnight (third shift) coverage. If you’re a CNA who values providing quality one-on-one care and working in a supportive environment, we’d love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on personal care (bathing, grooming, toileting, etc.)
- Assist with mobility and safety monitoring during overnight hours
- Perform light housekeeping and prepare simple meals/snacks as needed
- Monitor and record client health conditions or changes
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication with care team
Requirements:
- Current CNA certification in
- Previous experience in home care or similar setting preferred
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required for the role)
- Dependable, patient, and self-motivated
- Ability to stay awake and alert during third shift hours
