Roofer

Overview

Aberdeen Property Management is seeking an experienced Roofer/Shingler to join our growing construction and maintenance team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys working outdoors, and wants to be part of a company that is rapidly expanding throughout northeastern South Dakota.

Unlike many roofing companies, our work extends well beyond roofing. We manage hundreds of residential and commercial properties and complete a wide variety of construction projects, including roof replacements, siding, remodeling, exterior repairs, and property improvements. This position offers year-round work with opportunities to expand your skills and grow within the company.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and replace asphalt shingle, metal, and other roofing systems.
• Inspect roofs for storm damage, leaks, and maintenance needs.
• Remove existing roofing materials and prepare surfaces for new installation.
• Install flashing, drip edge, ridge vents, underlayment, and other roofing components.
• Assist with siding, gutters, soffit, fascia, and other exterior construction projects.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and other equipment.
• Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety procedures.
• Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship.
• Communicate with supervisors regarding project progress and material needs.
• Help with other construction and maintenance projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous roofing or construction experience required.
• Experience with asphalt shingles is preferred.
• Experience with metal roofing is a plus.
• Ability to work comfortably at heights and lift 75 pounds.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
