The Aberdeen IronBirds, an Attain Sports team, are the Advanced-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, operating in founders Bill and Cal Ripken, Jr.’s home town. Elevated to a full-season club in 2021, the IronBirds are excited to offer career opportunities for new or experienced sports professionals. 

The Aberdeen IronBirds are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Box Office Manager to lead all aspects of ticket operations for baseball games and special events. This role will oversee ticket sales, financial reconciliation, and game day box office management, with a strong emphasis on delivering outstanding fan experiences. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for creating memorable moments for our fans and community.


 Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and execute all facets of ticket processing including incoming individual and group orders for both baseball and special events, placing strong emphasis on Customer Service and fan interaction using the Glitnir ticketing system.
  • Responsible for accounting, reconciling, and other financial aspects of the Box Office for both group and game day events. 
  • Serve as the Primary contact for individual ticket sales. 
  • Prepare ticket orders for sponsors and group outings.
  • Process all online ticket orders.
  • Ensure repeat business by providing superior customer service.
  • Manage all ticketing on game days.
  • Work closely with the Marketing department to facilitate all targeted ticket programs & events.
  • Assist in generating ideas to increase sales of all ticket types. 
  • Represent the organization at community events.
  • Work all IronBirds home games and stadium events.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by supervisor.
 
 
 Qualifications
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Must be quick-thinking and able to work with a wide variety of personalities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and have the ability to take initiative with projects and events.
  • Have an exceptional customer service aptitude and be a committed team player.
  • Previous accounting and/or retail experience preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible and demanding hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience in sport organization or related business, especially in a ticketing capacity with emphasis on digital delivery preferred.
  • Experience with FEVO/ Groupmatics platform a plus.
  • Experience and ability to translate and/or converse in Spanish a plus.
  • Experience with Glitnir platform a plus.
