What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Writer position at Aberdeen Auto Care?
We are looking for a Service Writer to join our team, Service Writer speaks with customers to address their vehicle repair needs. A Service Writer’s responsibilities include documenting and creating estimates for the repairs needed and communicating with customers to schedule each job in our computer system, handling warranty claims, keeping the showroom clean, and handling shop supplies through various vendors. Ultimately, you will ensure that the needs of our customers are met, coordinate transactions, and estimate both time & costs to ensure everything runs smoothly for our customers.
- Knowledge of using Mitchell System is desirable but not necessary.
- Must have proven work experience as a Service Writer or a similar role.
- Computer literacy and knowledge of office software programs.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong record-keeping skills.
- The ability to understand and relate technical issues to the service team from customers’ non-technical descriptions.
About Aberdeen Auto Care:
We are a honest family owned shop that was started in 2019. Owner has over 30 yrs in the automotive field. We service all makes and models and do anything from changing tires, brakes and suspension to serious repair work like motors and transmissions. We have 4 bays that are heated in winter, summer is a little different but we have stuff in the shop to help beat the heat. We strive to make sure every customer that walks in the door leaves with a smile.
