What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Line Worker position at Abel & Schafer Inc.?
The Production Worker is responsible for production and preparation of various products, completing retail customer orders, and maintaining efficiency and quality across operation flow and product movement. The Production Worker will partake in hands on, scratch processes for portioning raw product, garnishing or topping, flipping and cooling baked product, filling trays, packaging, frosting, labeling or storage of completed baked items. May also partake in general daily sanitation as needed to maintain continual production flow.
Essential Functions
The Production Worker is responsible for, but not limited to, the following specific tasks.
At the direction of supervisor:
- Moving bags from conveyor onto pallet.
- Feeding Bags into bag sealing machine.
- Filling empty bags with bag filling machine.
- Labeling empty bags.
- Verifying information.
- Lifting and dumping ingredients from pallet into mixer or dump station.
- Cleaning and sanitizing production equipment.
- Transporting ingredients into the production room with pallet jack.
- Collecting/retrieving dump ingredients
- Identifying ingredients as prescribed and the handling them.
- Inspecting product/pallets for proper identification and proper stacking.
- Verifying equipment and floor for safety, cleanliness and performance.
- Adhering to all SQF, cGMP, SSOPs, Work safety and LOTO rules and regulations.
- Completing and reviewing all documents for accuracy before handing to supervisor.
- Ensuring Metal Detector Verification.
