Role Overview
As an Expert Wireless Sales Associate, you’ll be a pioneer in establishing Total Wireless as the go-to prepaid provider in a market dominated by competitors. Your mission: Convert skeptical shoppers into loyal customers by leveraging Total’s network superiority, unbeatable pricing, and community-driven values.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Conversion & Sales Excellence
- Confidently articulate Total Wireless’ competitive advantages (Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband, 5-year price guarantees, tax-inclusive plans) to counter objections and outperform rivals.
- Close sales by tailoring plans to customer needs (e.g., families, travelers, budget-conscious users).
- Master promotions like Free 5G devices, Home Internet and Disney on Us to drive urgency.
Competitive Market Expertise
- Stay informed about competitors’ tactics (e.g., competitors pricing changes, coverage gaps) and position Total as the smarter choice.
- Use localized knowledge to address regional network strengths (e.g., “Verizon covers rural areas the competition often misses”).
Community Building
- Build trust as a neighborhood expert, not just a salesperson.
Operational Excellence
- Process activations, upgrades, and device trades efficiently.
- Maintain Key Performance Metrics (KPI’s) and monthly targets.
- Maintain compliance with inventory and sales reporting.
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- 2 years of retail sales experience (wireless, tech, or consumer electronics preferred).
- Proven ability to meet/exceed sales targets in competitive environments.
- Deep understanding of wireless networks (5G, LTE, Coverage Maps, Mobile Hotspot, Home Internet) and plan structures.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to simplify technical jargon (e.g., “Ultra Wideband = 10x faster streaming”).
- Resilience to thrive in a new market with low brand awareness.
Preferred Skills:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) to serve diverse communities.
- Familiarity with Metro, Cricket, and Boost plans and customer pain points.
- Experience using point-of-sale systems.
