What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sterilization Technician/Dental Assistant position at Abe Dental?
As a Sterilization Technician, you will support the clinical team by cleaning and sterilizing all instruments to be used in dental procedures. The person in this role may also assist the Dental assistants by setting up and providing instruments prior to or during procedures.
Primary job responsibilities:
- Ensure treatment rooms are properly clean and prepared.
- Sterilize and disinfect all instruments and dental equipment.
- Maintain stock of supplies needed to sterilize equipment and instruments.
- Checks supplies to ensure they are not expired.
- Maintain storage rooms and logs.
- Keep the back office clean, sterilized in between patients.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Excellent customer/patient service and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand information and follow instructions for the proper handling of tools, instruments, and supplies.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
