We are seeking a dedicated Immigration Attorney to join our law firm. The ideal candidate will provide expert legal counsel and representation on immigration matters, ensuring clients receive comprehensive support throughout their legal processes. Responsibilities
- Advise clients on immigration procedures, policies, and options, including visas, green cards, asylum, and deportation defense
- Prepare and review legal documents such as petitions, applications, and appeals related to immigration law
- Conduct thorough legal research to stay current with immigration laws and regulations
- Represent clients in court proceedings and interviews with government agencies
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and evidence for their cases
- Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with all legal requirements
- Stay informed about changes in immigration laws, policies, and regulations affecting client cases
Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction
- Proven experience practicing immigration law with a strong understanding of federal regulations and procedures
- Familiarity with estate planning, environmental law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, litigation, patent law is a plus but not required
- Excellent legal drafting, writing skills, and attention to detail in legal research and documentation
- Prior experience working in a law office environment
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to handle complex litigation cases effectively
