Litigation Associate Attorney

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Litigation Associate Attorney with 2–4 years of litigation experience to join a growing legal team in Ellijay, Georgia. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys courtroom advocacy, managing cases from inception through resolution, and working directly with clients.
The ideal candidate is confident handling litigation matters independently and has meaningful courtroom experience, including hearings, depositions, motions, and trial preparation. Attorneys with experience in personal injury, criminal defense, DUI, family law, civil litigation, or general litigation are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Manage a litigation caseload from initial intake through resolution.
- Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and trials.
- Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
- Take and defend depositions and prepare witnesses.
- Negotiate settlements when appropriate.
- Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Prepare cases for trial, including discovery, evidence review, and witness preparation.
- Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the State of Georgia.
- 2–4 years of litigation experience.
- Strong courtroom advocacy and litigation skills.
- Experience handling hearings, depositions, motions, and trial preparation.
- Ability to manage multiple cases independently.
- Excellent legal writing, research, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Trial experience is highly preferred.
