Abcor Home Health, Inc. is growing and we are hiring a Lead Intake & Compliance Specialist to join our team in our Arlington Heights office.
Abcor Home Health is looking for a growth-driven and detail-oriented Lead Intake & Compliance Specialist to drive referral conversion, intake performance, and compliance excellence across our operations.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced homecare environment and can balance relationship-building, operational execution, and compliance oversight.
We prefer someone with previous homecare or healthcare operations experience who understands intake workflows, referral management, and documentation requirements.

- Pay range of $58000 per year - $62000 per year

Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the full referral lifecycle from intake through confirmed start of care
- Drive referral-to-start conversion through timely follow-up and barrier resolution
- Track and analyze referral sources (payors, hospitals, community partners) to identify trends and growth opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with referral partners and payors
- Serve as escalation point for high-priority or complex referrals
- Monitor referral pipelines daily and ensure no referrals are stalled or missed
- Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to Intake Coordinators
- Enforce standardized intake workflows to ensure consistency and efficiency
- Partner with Scheduling, Operations, Payroll, and Billing teams for seamless care starts
- Oversee Compliance and Pre-Billing Integrity processes to ensure accuracy prior to payroll and billing
- Review and resolve HHAX alerts, exceptions, and discrepancies
- Conduct audits of documentation, visits, and authorizations to ensure compliance
- Support internal and external audits (IDoA, DHS, MCO, payors)
- Identify documentation gaps and ensure audit readiness at all times
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in intake, scheduling, compliance, or healthcare operations required
- Previous leadership, training, or mentoring experience preferred
- Strong understanding of referral workflows and pipeline management
- Ability to manage high-volume work with urgency and accuracy
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Experience with CRM systems, intake tools, and Microsoft Office
- Experience with HHAeXchange (HHAX) or EVV systems preferred
- Ability to balance growth targets with compliance requirements
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required (Associate degree preferred)
- Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Detail-oriented and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual in Spanish (Preferred)
