Job Summary:
Our busy office currently has an opportunity for a professional and experienced individual to fill the role of Production Technician. As a Production Technician with SmartSource your primary responsibility will be the preparation of rental equipment for SmartSource clients: software imaging, configuring, and testing of computers and laptops, laser printers, copiers, IT related equipment, large display monitors, along with other tradeshow equipment. Additional responsibilities include filling orders with complete cable kits, accurate scan of all outbound inventory and labeling appropriately so it’s ready for transport to our clients. The Production Tech is a point of contact to our technicians as well as clients for IT related support and service issues
Key responsibilities:
- Preparation of all IT/Tradeshow related equipment for rental orders.
- Assist clients, account executives, and other SmartSource technicians with technical inquiries.
- Provide In house IT technical support.
- Assist in preparation of tradeshow and audio-visual equipment for rental orders.
- Assist with field activities, shipping, and receiving as required by the Operations Manager.
- Support Operations Manager in other day to day functions as directed.
Requirements:
- 2 years of IT experience including large screen displays and AV or tradeshow equipment with strong attention to detail.
- Strong technical skills in configuring and troubleshooting hardware, networking devices (wired and wireless), and working within both Windows and macOS environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to follow complex verbal and written instructions from clients and internal teams to ensure requests are staged and set up correctly.
- Proficient in Microsoft Teams and comfortable collaborating with both local and remote staff.
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with strong attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
- Committed to continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
- Ability to load/unload and transport rental equipment; must have a clean driving record and be able to drive company vehicles.
