The ideal candidate is comfortable with traveling, has a solid understanding of roofing systems, materials, and safety practices. This position involves performing a variety of roofing tasks, including installation, repair, and maintenance of different types of roofs. A solid knowledge of materials such as Shingles, Tile, Metal, TPO, and PVC is essential, along with the ability to meet project deadlines and follow safety standards on every job site.

During the interview process you will be tested on knowledge and experience with installing different roofing materials (shingles, tiles, metal, TPO, PVC, etc.). There will also be a required personality test that must be completed before interviewing. We are ONLY hiring for people with Journeyman level roofing experience or 7-10 years of previous roofing experience.

Entry-level roles start at $22 per hour, with opportunities for advancement based on performance and skill development.

Key Journeyman Responsibilities:

• Travel to multiple project locations across the state of California.
• Install, repair, and maintain various roofing systems: shingles, tiles, metal, and TPO
• Install a minimum of 8 squares of shingles per day.
• Assess roof conditions and perform necessary repairs to ensure structural integrity.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors.
• Assist in the training of less experienced roofers and apprentices.
• Measure and cut roofing materials to fit specific dimensions.
• Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Inspect completed work for quality assurance and adherence to specifications.
• Maintain inventory of materials and tools, reporting any shortages to management.
• Travel to job sites as required.

Required Journeyman Qualifications:

• Journeyman Roofer in Shingles, Tile, TPO, Metal, or Commercial Roofing
• Experience and knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and safety standards.
• Ability to install a minimum of 8 squares per day of asphalt shingles.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation.
• Certification in roofing or relevant safety training (e.g., OSHA).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
