Medical Scribe/Medical Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team. The Medical Scribe plays a crucial role in supporting healthcare providers by accurately documenting patient encounters in real-time. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong interest in the medical field, particularly those looking to gain experience in clinical settings such as clinics and hospitals. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and various healthcare systems.

Responsibilities

• Accurately document patient histories, physical examinations, and treatment plans during patient visits.
• Assist healthcare providers in managing electronic health records (EHR) by entering data efficiently and accurately.
• Ensure all documentation complies with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with medical staff to improve workflow and enhance patient service.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Support medication administration documentation and follow protocols for various specialties including internal medicine and dermatology.
• Participate in training sessions to stay updated on coding practices and medical terminology.

Requirements

• Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is essential.
• Experience or familiarity with clinical environments such as clinics or hospitals preferred.
• Understanding of coding practices related to medical documentation is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate clear interactions with healthcare providers and patients.
• Experience or interest in specialties such as internal medicine, dermatology, or operating room (OR) settings is advantageous.
• A commitment to providing excellent patient service while ensuring accurate record-keeping.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
