Position Summary
We are hiring a Plumbing Instructor to lead classroom and lab-based training for apprentices and craft trainees. This position is ideal for experienced professionals passionate about mentoring the next generation of skilled tradespeople.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engaging classroom and hands-on instruction using an approved curriculum
- Assess student performance through exams and practical evaluations
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and safety compliance
- Foster a professional and safety-conscious learning environment
- Offer guidance on academic, career, and personal growth
- Participate in annual training setup and professional development
Minimum Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in plumbing
- Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to complete the Instructor Certification Training Program (ICTP). We will pay for this training and certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- NCCER Instructor Certification
- Familiarity with video conferencing tools (Zoom, Teams, etc.)
Work Environment
This position reports to the Academy Manager and Director of Education. Instructors are expected to deliver independent, high-standard instruction while maintaining student engagement and safety.
