Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
- Supervise and engage children during playtime, activities, and rest periods to encourage exploration and learning.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that complies with health and safety regulations.
- Provide individualized attention to children with special needs or disabilities, adapting activities as necessary.
- Monitor children's behavior and utilize effective behavior management strategies to foster positive interactions.
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any emergencies or health concerns.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns.
- Collaborate with team members to plan activities that support early childhood education standards.
- Assist with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, and nap times for infants and toddlers.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or classroom settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific activities for infants through preschoolers.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training is encouraged.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to foster a positive learning environment.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patience and professionalism.

- Flexibility to work scheduled hours that support the daycare's operational hours; weekend or evening shifts may be required occasionally.
